Preliminary Round:
A preliminary video audition is required for all levels, divisions, and categories. if your city held the live competition, you could join the live preliminary. if your city did not held the live preliminary round you could apply with a pre-recorded video.

Application deadline: May 20, 2026; Late applications accepted until June 20, 2026 ($50 late fee)
Competition Options:
All works must be performed by memory.
Finalists will join the award concert ceremony and master class.
The finals may be recorded by competition committee, and recordings may be used for publicity and/or publications.
The Jury retains the right to stop a performance if it exceeds the allotted time.
Within reason, works should avoid repeats.
No changes to the competition program are permitted once the application form has been received.
The decisions of the Jury are final and not subject to review or appeal.
Music Competition Scoring Rubric: (30-Point System)
1. Technical Accuracy (10 points)
Pitch Precision (4 points): Consistent intonation and correct note execution.
Rhythm & Tempo (3 points): Adherence to musical timing and steady beat control.
Pronunciation & Articulation (3 points): Clear enunciation of lyrics with proper pronunciation.
2. Musicality & Expression (10 points)
Emotional Delivery (5 points): Effective conveyance of the song’s mood and lyrical meaning.
Dynamic Control (3 points): Appropriate use of volume and phrasing for artistic effect.
Style Interpretation (2 points): Awareness of genre-specific nuances (e.g., pop, classical).
3. Stage Performance (10 points)
Confidence & Presence (4 points): Engaging audience interaction and poised demeanor.
Body Language (3 points): Natural gestures and movements that complement the performance.
Overall Impact (3 points): Memorable and cohesive presentation, including attire and professionalism.
Video requirements:
Pieces may be recorded separately or in one take.
A high-quality video recording is highly recommended.
The camera must be stationary for the video. The performers hands and face must be visible during the recording.
There is no set time limit or minimum for the preliminary round.
